Binny-Supin Yang

Korean soprano Binny-Supin Yang is rapidly emerging as a compelling presence on both the operatic and concert stages. She recently won the Voice Section of the 2026 Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) Annual Music Competition and was selected as a Renée Fleming Artist at the Aspen Music Festival and School.

Recent highlight include Königin der Nacht Die Zauberflöte (Aspen Music Festival and School); and covering First Niece Peter Grimes and Norina Don Pasquale (Opera North). In the current season joins English Touring Opera for their prouction of Dido and Aeneas.

She has performed roles including First Niece Peter Grimes for British Youth Opera; Königin der Nacht Die Zauberflöte under the baton of Olivia Clarke, Gretel Hänsel und Gretel under the baton of Johann Stuckenbruck, Emmie Albert Herring under the baton of Geoffrey Paterson; Dalinda Ariodante under the baton of David Bates, and scenes as Madame Herz Der Schauspieldirektor and Blonde Die Entführung aus dem Serail, under the baton of Peter Robinson – all while at the Royal Academy of Music.

Binny has performed in concert venues across Korea and the UK, including the Korea Cultural Centre UK in London, Kumho Art Hall Yonsei and Wigmore Hall where she performed solo recitals. Her performances have also captivated audiences at the Seoul Arts Centre, Busan Culture Centre, and the Italian Cultural Institute. She is a member of the Academy Song Circle and a Josephine Baker Trust Artist. She is an alumna of the Georg Solti Accademia and a former Emerging Artist with Seoul Arts Center, and Kumho Arts Foundation.

Binny completed her undergraduate degree at the Seoul National University, followed by her Master’s degree with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music as an ABRSM International Postgraduate Scholar, later completing the Royal Academy Opera as a Bicentenary Scholar.
