Following acclaimed performances as Dick Deadeye in HMS Pinafore last season, Trevor Eliot Bowes returns to ENO as Dr Grenvil in Peter Konwitschny’s Olivier Award nominated production of La traviata, conducted by Kevin John Edusei.

Former Harewood Artist Andri Björn Róbertsson returns following performances as Superintendent Budd in Albert Herring in London and Manchester, and will appear as Terry in a new production of Missy Mazzoli’s Breaking the Waves, directed by Tinuke Craig and conducted by Joana Carneiro.

Trevor Eliot Bowes begins the 2026/27 season with his house debut at La Monnaie / De Munt, appearing as Erster Handwerksbursch in a new production of Berg’s Wozzeck, directed and designed by Christophe Coppens and conducted by Alain Altinoglu.

Later in the season, he returns to English National Opera before making his debut at Pacific Opera Victoria – details to be announced.

 

Following English National Opera’s season announcement for 2025/26…

Ronald Samm and Gweneth Ann Rand return to ENO as Father Grenville and Kitty Hart in Anniliese Miskimmon’s new production of Jake Heggie’ Dead Man Walking, conducted by Kerem Hasan. This unmissable new production marks the 25th anniversary since the work was premiered at San Francisco Opera. Camilla Roberts understudies the role of Kitty Hart.

Trevor Eliot Bowes returns to ENO as Dick Deadeye and Rhonda Browne makes her company debut as Buttercup in the of first revival Cal McCrystal’s production of HMS Pinafore, conducted by Matthew Kofi Waldren.

In English Touring Opera’s newly announced autumn 2025 season:

Timothy Nelson returns as Belcore in Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, directed by Martin Constantine and conducted Alice Farnham.

Trevor Eliot Bowes returns as Collatinus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, Robin Norton-Hale and conducted by Gerry Cornelius.

Following English National Opera’s season announcement for 2024/25…

Ailish Tynan and Gweneth Ann Rand perform Governess and Mrs Grose in Isabella Bywater’s new production of The Turn of the Screw, conducted by Duncan Ward and Charlotte Corderoy. This is the first time Ailish will perform at ENO since her debut in David Alden’s production of Radamisto in 2010.

Trevor Eliot Bowes performs Antonio in this first revival of Joe Hill-Gibbins’ production of The Marriage of Figaro, conducted by Ainārs Rubiķis.

Ronald Samm performs the Earl of Ruthven in the ENO premiere of Thea Musgrave’s Mary, Queen of Scots, in a new concert staging, conducted by Joana Carneiro and directed by Stuart Laing.

Following English Touring Opera’s announcement for autumn 2023…

Trevor Eliot Bowes performs Seneca in a new production of The Coronation of Poppea, directed by Robin Norton-Hale and conducted by Yshani Perinpanayagam. Trevor’s ETO debut was in spring 2022 in La bohème.

Following acclaimed performances in Handel’s Ottone, Nazan Fikret returns to ETO as Clorinda in a new production of Rossini’s La Cenerentola, directed by Jenny Ogilvie Furness and conducted by Naomie Woo.

Both Nazan and Trevor will perform in ETO’s spring 2024 production of The Rake’s Progress.

Trevor Eliot Bowes sings Benoît in English National Opera’s Drive & Live La bohème, opening at Alexandra Palace on 19 September. This stunning socially distanced production with the ENO Orchestra and Chorus is directed by PJ Harris and conducted by Martyn Brabbins and Chris Hopkins.

We are delighted to announce that bass Trevor Eliot Bowes has joined our roster. Trevor was born in Victoria, Canada and studied at the University of Toronto, the Banff Centre for the Arts, the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He is currently one of Barbara Hannigan’s Equilibrium Young Artists.

In recent seasons appearances include house debuts as José Castro La fanciulla del West and Policeman Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk for English National Opera, Silvano Un ballo in maschera for Grange Park Opera, and Der Lakai Ariadne auf Naxos for Opera Holland Park, and Boots and Footman Der Rosenkavalier for Glyndebourne.

Future plans include Ben Benny Paul Bunyan and A Cappadocian Salome for English National Opera, and Father Trulove The Rake’s Progress with the Münchner Philharmoniker, conducted by Barbara Hannigan.
